I provide a holistic, integrative approach to therapy that combines EMDR, somatic skills, and mindfulness. Together, we’ll explore the root causes of your challenges and develop practical tools for healing, growth, and transformation.

My primary practice is in EMDR (Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) - which works by reprocessing old memories and wounds that keep you feeling stuck, anxious, and sad. The result is a freer, more dynamic, more fulfilling life, free of excessive worry, self-doubt, and stagnation.

Once upon a time...

That's how the stories start, right? My story starts both with the joy I remember feeling at simple things as a child, and the confusion and pain I carried into young adulthood from an often chaotic upbringing. Plus all the efforts I made over the years to change my conditions. Efforts both stumbling and purposeful, with plenty of mistakes along the way. Mistakes are terrific lessons though. Without them, we don't grow.

I'm a person working on my own recovery and growth, an artist/artisan finding the motivation to get into the studio, a person sometimes struggling between freeze and hyperfocus, and ...

The point is, I know what it's like, and there's nothing I do with clients that I haven't tried myself. I get the inter-generational trauma, the existential angst, the difficulty finding and listening to that inner voice, and the peace and exhilaration that comes with learning to be in the here and now. Learning to hear yourself above and through the noise.

Originally from Los Angeles, I graduated with a Masters in Science in Psychology in 2006, with a concentration in Marriage and Family Therapy. As a California Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I worked with adults, families and children/teens for approximately 15 years prior to my move to Spain, as well as managed programs serving at-risk youths. I am trained in Motivational Interviewing, Seeking Safety, and EMDR. EMDR has been a game-changer in my practice, giving me tools to help my clients move beyond stacking coping skills and positive self-talk (and to be clear, I LOVE coping skills and positive self-talk!) into enduring, deep healing.

I'm also a crazy dog- and cat-mom, a nature-lover, reader, baker, potter, painter, gardener, meditator, partner, expat/immigrant, learner, and lover of tapas and schezuan noodles.
